Its dainty appearance makes the blue tit a favourite in the garden. At the bird feeder, this spunky bird doesn’t allow itself to be chased away by larger birds, despite its minute size. It likes seeds and bread as well as pecking at tallow. The male feeds its female both before and after breeding when they build nests in a nesting box. The female can sit on up to 16 eggs.
