About the Curious Chick

The domesticated chicken descends from red junglefowl, which is the ancestor of all domestic chicken breeds. Chickens are active animals with an intense curiosity that drives them to explore their surroundings. Scratching, pecking, and dust bathing are ingrained in their nature. Hens are intelligent and exhibit individual and characteristic behaviours. These feathered creatures show impressive care towards their chicks. The hen incubates her eggs for three weeks, after which the eggs hatch and transform into petite, lively chicks.

The curious chick is always ready for new adventures in the chicken yard. It has just noticed a sandy patch where it wants to flutter around to preen its feathers.
